Event branding for a premium fashion and luxury conference exploring Mindfulness

The Brief

Create an identity and visual language that defines the conference, embodying both the conference themes and is inspired by the culture and environment of the host nation. As well as offering true flexibility in execution, the visual language must also engage with and reflect the visual sophistication of a premium luxury and fashion audience.

The Breath Of The Compassionate

For the identity design I went to the starting point of all Arabic geometry, dissecting circles with straight lines to create fluctuating grids known as the breath of god. From here I developed grids of repeating patterns to create the overall design aesthetic for the conference.

For the logo itself I took elements from different repeat grids and amalgamated them into a single logo that wile entirely made up of repeating geometric elements was also completely unique and bespoke, accurately representing the brands that operate at the premium end of the fashion and luxury industries.

Oman has a deep sea trading heritage so for the conference colour palette I simply went to where the land meets the sea and the sky. 

I developed the branding into a comprehensive visual toolkit that was extended across all the print, digital and event graphics for the conference.
